Creative Experiences Workshop Adelaide
Created by Artists By Any Other Name, this interdisciplinary workshop fully immerses students in the behind the scenes aspects of Debussy's "The Toybox". Participants will study the show's music and choreography, as well as create costumes and set for their own unique showcase alongside the faculty. With a re-imagined narrative by Abby Marchesseault and music arranged by Pedro Vizzarro Vallejos, the pieces follows Mindy Mobile as she embarks on an adventure with some surprising new companions. Students will also participate in semi private instrumental lessons and will be given the opportunity to perform with their peers at a showcase concert.
Created by Artists By Any Other Name, this interdisciplinary workshop is a re-imagining of Claude Debussy's the Toybox. Arranged by violist Pedro Vizzarro Vallejos, with a new narrative and choreography by dancer Abby Marchesseault, the piece follows Suzie Cellphone as she embarks on an adventure with some surprising new companions.
The curriculum, includes set design, costumes, music and choreography to Toybox with a goal of becoming familiar with the work on several levels to discover how a unity of the arts enriches the understanding of each art form. The course aims improve communication and partnership skills through collaboration. Students will also participate in semi private instrumental lessons and will be given the opportunity to perform with their peers at the showcase concert.
